Need a hand with Almie? The fastest way to reach us is email — a real person reads every message. Common questions are answered below.
Include the phone number or Apple ID you sign in with (never your password or a login code) and a quick description of what you're seeing. Screenshots help.
Sign up with your email at almie.money and we'll send your TestFlight invitation as places open up. The beta is completely free — you won't be charged anything while testing.
An iPhone running iOS 26 or later, and Apple's free TestFlight app from the App Store. Open your invitation on the iPhone itself — TestFlight links don't work on a computer. If TestFlight says the build isn't compatible, it's almost always an iOS version below 26.
Two ways, both good. Inside TestFlight you can take a screenshot and tap Share Beta Feedback, which sends it to us with your device details attached automatically. Or email support@almie.money — tell us what you expected, what happened instead, and roughly when, so we can find it in the logs.
Yes. Your account, connected banks, budgets, reserves, and goals stay with you when Almie reaches the App Store — you won't start over.
No surprises: nothing starts billing automatically because you tested. Any purchase you make inside a TestFlight build is a sandbox purchase, so it isn't charged to your card, and it doesn't create a real subscription.
Every email we send has an Unsubscribe link in the footer, and one click removes you from the list for good. You can also email us and we'll take care of it.
Two options: your phone number, where we text you a one-time code, or Sign in with Apple. There's no password to remember or lose. If you use Apple's Hide My Email, Almie only ever sees the private relay address.
In the app, add an account and choose your institution. You'll enter your bank credentials directly into Plaid, our secure data-connectivity provider — Almie never sees or stores your bank username or password. Almie's access is read-only: it can display and categorize your data, but it cannot move, transfer, withdraw, or hold money.
Banks occasionally require you to re-confirm a connection. Open Almie and follow the reconnect prompt on the affected account; you'll sign in through Plaid again and syncing resumes. If a connection stays stuck after relinking, email us and we'll dig in.
After you connect an account, your history arrives in stages — recent activity first, then older transactions as your bank sends them. Recurring bills also need a little history before Almie can recognize the pattern and start predicting them, so a brand-new connection won't show every subscription immediately.
Sign-in codes arrive by SMS and can take a minute during carrier congestion. Check that your phone has signal and can receive texts from new numbers. If you previously replied STOP to our messages, reply START to the same number to resume, then request a new code. Code requests are rate-limited for security, so after several attempts you may need to wait briefly before trying again.
It's what's genuinely yours to spend for the rest of the current pay period, after Almie sets aside what's already committed — your recurring bills and the money you're reserving for them. Almie budgets around your pay cycle, whether that's weekly, biweekly, or monthly, rather than forcing everything into calendar months.
Reserves are how Almie covers bills that don't line up with your paycheck. Instead of a large bill landing all at once, Almie sets a little aside each period so the money is already there when it's due — and Safe to Spend reflects that automatically, so you're never spending money that's already promised.
Subscriptions are billed by Apple through your Apple ID. To manage, upgrade, or cancel, open Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions on your iPhone, or visit apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Canceling stops future renewals; you keep access through the end of the paid period. Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. During the beta this doesn't apply — testing is free.
Tap Restore Purchases on the subscription screen, or sign out of the app and back in. If it still doesn't take, email us with the phone number on your account.
You can disconnect any linked institution from the app's account settings at any time. To delete your account entirely, use the in-app Delete Account option — it removes your connected accounts from Plaid, your financial data, notifications, subscription records, and your login, as described in our Privacy Policy. Deletion is available to everyone, including non-subscribers.
Almie has per-type notification controls in the app's notification settings, so you can keep the ones you find useful and switch off the rest. You can also manage delivery in iOS Settings › Notifications › Almie.
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest, we run no ads and no third-party analytics, and we never sell your personal information. Bank credentials go directly to Plaid and never touch Almie. The full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Have an idea that would make Almie better? We'd genuinely love to hear it — especially during the beta, when it can still change what we build next. Post it in our community at r/Almie or send it to support@almie.money.
If you believe you've found a security vulnerability in Almie, please email support@almie.money with the subject line “Security” and we will prioritize it. Please don't include sensitive account details in your first message.
Almie is operated by Pandi Finance LLC, a Washington limited liability company. Almie is a personal-finance tracker, not a bank — it cannot move, transfer, withdraw, or hold your money. See our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
